A word about the media manager: I've just finished writing up a <a href="http://www.hippowebsolutions.com/managing-images-with-the-wordpress-media-manager/" rel="nofollow">tutorial at my site</a>, and while I think it's great for uploading and automatically resizing images, the whole thing just feels slightly under-cooked to me. But it (mostly) works, and I'm sure will make life a lot easier for many. That’s a good list – I use many of them myself, although hadn’t heard about the “no self pings” one – I’ll certainly check it out.
