I've lost dogs that completely devastated me for a couple of days ... but I guess everybody loves their "Mom's" and mine was so unique and special. So my thoughts are all about grieving and just getting through the process. Well not to go on and on about my mindset and reasons ... I can say that your photos lift me several notches up this beautiful morning and allow me to perhaps look at living differently all of the sudden. These Oakland photos have their own particularly rich quality and strength; along with your complimenting superb thoughts that make me fall into that time and place. I feel as if I were there as you sat ... and turned to the left ... and focused on G R A Y. How excellent, I too will now associate this statue as well as my grieving with "G R A Y" and for whatever reason ... can make a little better sense out of my sadness. Thanks!
